"Betty Jean wrote to us in 1985 - gave us the place and date of birth of her son, and his birth name, but she never updated or contacted us again. The son, Michael, had his birth name, and he never joined Alma, and didn't start searching until just recently when we noticed his matching post on a registry. Unfortunately, the birth mother passed away in 1997, and happily, the step birthfather has welcomed him into his family of six half brothers and sisters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. If both of these people had joined Alma, it would have been a match back in 1985, and if they both had contacted the state of WA and registered, it would have been a match, and if Michael had gotten his non-id and put it together with his birth name, he probably would have found her.
